William "Bill" Decker, age 92, of Decorah, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at Evans Senior Living in Cresco, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 307 W Main St, Decorah, IA 52101, with Father Jon Seda presiding. Burial will follow at St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday, July 27, 2026, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 307 W Main St, Decorah, IA 52101.

William Nicholas Decker was born to William J. and Elizabeth Decker in Watkins, MN. After school, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy. Following his discharge, he married Marie Weber on November 20, 1952, in St. Cloud, MN. They made their home in Winona, MN, where they welcomed four daughters before moving to Decorah, IA. After settling in Decorah, they added two sons to their growing family.

Bill was a devoted family man who worked hard to provide for those he loved. The family enjoyed many camping trips together, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. He also instilled a love of the outdoors through countless hours spent hunting and fishing. After 44 years with Deco Products, Bill retired and spent the next 16 years enjoying summers at the lake and winters in California.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marie, of 73 years; his four daughters, Debra Decker, Connie (Mike) Pahl, Karen (Allen) Gaul, and Sue (Jerry) Hansen; his daughter-in-law, Shelli Decker; and his son, Terry (Brenda) Decker. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Jacob; grandson, Brian Gaul, his parents; two brothers; four sisters; his in-laws, Jacob and Josephine Weber; three sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
