Wayne Clement

Wayne Clement, age 76 of Decorah, IA, died on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave in Decorah. Wayne Edward Clement was born on January 30, 1945 the son of Edward and Jennie (Linderbaum) Clement. He attended country school in Springfield township, and graduated from Decorah high school in 1963. Following high school, Wayne worked alongside his father on the family farm. He met his future wife Ginny, on a blind date and they were married April 12th 1975. To this union three children were born: Jeff, Katie, and Scott. Wayne loved working on the family farms but after many years of farming he was employed by Stanley where he worked twenty years before his retirement. Wayne was a very simple and loving man. He valued time with family and friends especially if there were cards to be played. Ginny, his children, and grandchildren were his world and it showed every time he was around them. Wayne is survived by his wife: Ginny. Daughter: Katie (Jim) Hennessy, Waukon, IA. Sons: Scott (Melissa) Clement, LeRoy, MN and Jeff (Colleen) Clement, Decorah, IA. Grandchildren: Morgan, Patrick, Danny, Kelsey and Ashley Hennessy; Bella, Landon, Abby and Kjirsten Clement; Maddie, Liz and Mike Clement. Sisters and brother-in-law: Eilleen Breitbach, New Hampton, IA; Janie Foley, California; Pat (Kathy) Morrissey, Grand Rapids, MI; Cheryl (Jim) Norland, Duluth, MN and Maggie Hull. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Jennie (Linderbaum) Clement. Father and mother-in-law: Frank and Coletta Morrissey. Sister-in-law: Francis Morrissey. Brothers-in-law: Bill Morrissey, Richard Breitbach and Ben Hull.
