Vera Neuzil

Vera Neuzil, age 84, of Fort Atkinson, IA, died on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at her home in Fort Atkinson, IA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, IA, with Rev. Nick Radloff presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, Chekal Chapel in Fort Atkinson and also after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the funeral home. The Schluter-Balik Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Vera Vivian (Frazer) Neuzil was born on April 6, 1937 the daughter of Henry and Mabel (VanSickle) Frazer in Spring Valley, MN. She graduated from Spring Valley High School. Vera married Valerian Neuzil on March 5, 1957 in Fort Atkinson. She worked for Frazer’s Truck Stop in Calmar. Vera loved going to sales and auctions. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, canning and working in her garden. She was a wonderful mother and enjoyed taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband: Valerian Neuzil. Children: Valerie (Lloyd) Schwendinger, Protivin, IA; Vicki Neuzil, Mason City, IA; Vivian (Dennis) DeBettignies, Sheffield, IA; Vance (Tammy) Neuzil, Postville, IA; Vince (Mary) Neuzil, Sumner, IA; Verle Neuzil, Fort Atkinson, IA and Vaughn (Julie) Neuzil, Arlington, TX. Eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Brothers-in-law: Bob Neuzil, Fort Atkinson, IA and John (Ruth) Neuzil, Charles City, IA. Vera is preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Mabel Frazer. Granddaughter: April May Neuzil. Sisters: Dora (Enos) Moon, Della (Harold) Vandezande, Marion (Jay) Petelcoff, Eva, and Alean (Ed) Leibold. Brothers: Merle (Juanita) Frazer and Reuben (Eleanor) Frazer. Sister-in-law: Mary Lou Neuzil. Mother and father-in-law: Louis and Mary (Martinek) Neuzil.
