Tony Lensing

Tony Lensing, age 58 of Calmar, IA died Friday at his Home in Calmar.   Celebration of life will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2017 at The Bar at 103 North Maryville St. in Calmar Anthony “Tony” Harlan Lensing was born October 7, 1958 to Roman and Ruth Esther (Blackford) Lensing. Tony attended St. Aloysius and South Winneshiek School in Calmar. In 1991 he bought the Tavern. Tony married Judy King on May 9, 1992 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Together they ran The Bar. Tony enjoyed playing pool, cards, old cars, Fantasy Football and his beloved cat Aby.     Tony’s survivors include his wife: Judy Lensing, Calmar, IA. Mother: Ruth Esther Lensing, Calmar, IA  Two sisters:  Colleen Buechler, Festina, IA and Becky (Mark) Yerrington, El Paso, TX.  Three brothers:  Tom (Bonnie) Lensing, Rockford, IL; Ron (Connie) Lensing, Calmar, IA; and Carl Lensing, Calmar, IA. Brother and Sisters-in-law: Dale (Cathy) King, Alan King and Lois (Rick) Pickar, all of Lawler, IA and aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.   Tony was preceded in death by his father: Roman Two brothers: William and Henry Lensing in 1971.  Twin sisters in infancy: Margie and Marie in 1961 Mother and Father-in-law Hugh (Marvelene Novotny) King.
