Theresa Teslow, age 96, of Frankville, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at her home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Helms Funeral Home, 306 E Water Street, Decorah, Iowa, with Pastor Karla Johnson presiding. Private family burial will be held in the Glenwood East Cemetery.

No visitation prior to the service; please come in and be seated.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Theresa was born in Decorah, Iowa, on April 15, 1930, to Carolyn Funke and was adopted by James and Rose Hallman. She lived in Freeport and graduated from Decorah High School in 1949. She married Raymond Teslow on June 20, 1950. She resided in Frankville, Iowa, for most of her adult life.

Theresa, over the years, worked at Northern Engraving, Waspie Producer, Decorah Cleaners and Winneshiek Hospital for 21 years in housekeeping. She made many trips running for parts for her husband’s garage.

Theresa was a hard worker and helped anyone she could. She enjoyed her many grandchildren, working in the yard, going to the casino, and playing games on her Grandpad.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Diana (Pat) Gardner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sons, Randy (Dawn) Teslow of Ossian, Iowa, and Ronald (Mary) Teslow of Shelbyville, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Joyce Teslow of Frankville, Iowa; Also 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; special friend Dave Benson and family.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; son, Wayne; grandson, Jesse Einck; as well as her parents.
