Terry Ehler

Terry Ehler, 44, passed away in an automobile accident on September 5, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3663 66th Street Urbandale, IA 50322. Burial will be held 5 p.m., Monday in St. Mary's Cemetery- Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church at Festina, Iowa. Terry was born December 29, 1967, the son of Edmund and Sylvia (Hageman) Ehler in Decorah, Iowa. He graduated from South Winneshiek High School of Calmar in 1986, and the University of Northern Iowa in 1989. Terry was a Senior I.T. Analyst at Principal Financial in Des Moines. Terry was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. Terry is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Andrew and Adam all of Urbandale; his mother, Sylvia of Calmar, Iowa; brothers, Kenneth of Calmar, Iowa, and Larry of St. Olaf, Iowa; and sisters, Theresa (Loren) Schmitt of Calmar, Iowa, and Marianne Ehler of Edina, MN. The family will greet friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3663 66th Street Urbandale, IA 50322, with a Vigil Service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions may be made to them or for Andrew and Adam's College Funds.
