     Steven Crider, Jr., age 34, of Plymouth, MN, died on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at his home.      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014, at the Calmar Lutheran Church, 200 North East Street, Calmar, IA, with Rev. Phil Olson presiding. Burial will be in the Calmar Lutheran Cemetery, Calmar, IA.      Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday at Schluter Balik Funeral Home French Chapel, 202 Washington St. in Calmar, IA. There will also be visitation after 10:00 a.m., Thursday at the church.       Steven James Crider Jr., was born on March 24, 1980, the son of Steven and Carolyn (Stofferahn) Crider, in West Union, IA. He was baptized on March 27, 1980 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Eldorado, IA, and confirmed there on March 27, 1994. He graduated from North Fayette High School in West Union in 1998. Steven went on to work in IT for United Health Group (Optum) in Plymouth, MN. His hobbies included, Frisbee golf, playing cards, swimming, deer hunting, and watching movies (his favorite was Braveheart). Steven was especially passionate about spending time with family and friends and watching his Iowa Hawkeye Football team. He loved Pepsi and Doritos, homemade ice cream, cheeseburgers, and pizza. Steven always said he wasn’t a “cat person”, but loved to watch movies with his cat “Baby” on his lap.      Steven’s survivors include his wife: Genista Crider, Plymouth, MN. Three sisters: Shannon (Conrad) Langreck, West Union, IA, Stephanie (Gerald) Bastyer, Lascassas, TN, Ashley (Josh) Varner, Holts Summit, MO. Paternal grandmother: Arlene Crider, Eldorado, IA. Maternal grandfather: Orval Stofferahn, Freeport, IL.      Steven was preceded in death by his parents: Carolyn Crider in 1989 and Steven Crider, Sr. in 2013. Paternal grandfather: James Crider and Maternal grandmother: Hulda Stofferahn.
