Sherri Teslow, age 71, of Decorah, IA, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Northgate Care Center in Waukon, IA.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Glenwood Lutheran Church, 1197 Old Stage Road with Rev. Bryan Robertson presiding. Burial will be in the Glenwood East Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service at the church on Saturday morning.
She was born to Nathan and Ruby Teslow on December 30, 1954. She was baptized on February 6, 1955, and confirmed on April 26, 1970, at the Glenwood Lutheran church
She farmed with her parents in the Glenwood township until the death of her father, Nathan. She, along with her mother, Ruby, continued to live on the farm until 2016, when they then moved to the Bruening addition in Decorah, Iowa. Due to failing health, she then moved into the Northgate Care Center, where she resided until the time of her death. Sherri remained so strong during her many illnesses.
Sherri was very active in her church; she taught Sunday school, Bible school, participated in circle and many other activities. Sherri, along with her mother, Ruby, and her brother Jeff, cleaned the Glenwood church for several years.
Sherri loved decorating for the holidays, baking, getting together with her family and friends, and taking trips with her mother.
She will be missed dearly by everyone.
Sherri is survived by her brother Bernard and his wife Janet Teslow, her sister-in-law Brenda Teslow, her nephews Todd and Travis Teslow, and her niece Tammy Tangen, many great nephews and nieces, and great-grandnephew and niece.
Sherri is preceded in death by her father, Nathan and her mother, Ruby Teslow; her brother Jeff Teslow; her grandparents, Benjamin and Edith Teslow, and Paul and Clara Hesse; and her step-grandmother, Mildred.
