Sebastian Torres

Sebastian Torres, age 25, of Coon Rapids, MN and formerly of Decorah, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah. Private Family Services will be held later. Sebastian Torres was born December 29, 1990 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, the son of Paula (Hagstrom) and Alejandro Torres. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka, Minnesota, and confirmed at Decorah Lutheran Church where he remains a member. Sebastian graduated from Decorah High School with the class of 2009. He received his Associate of Arts Degree from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa. Recently, Sebastian was researching where to return to school for a degree in computer programming. He had also just accepted a position with Target Corporation. Sebastian enjoyed fishing, reading, writing, playing video games, and spending time with his friends and family. He spent time babysitting his cousin’s children, and he had expressed his fondness of the special relationship that had developed and the role he played in their lives. Sebastian had a fun, loving personality, and a ready smile that made everyone he talked to feel special. Sebastian is survived by his parents, Paula and Brian Womeldorf, and two sisters, Emily and Grace Womeldorf of Decorah; his grandparents: Roger and Dorothy Hagstrom of Coon Rapids, MN and Jim and Laurel Womeldorf of Decorah; his aunt and uncle, Matt and Rina Hagstrom and cousins Elle, Jack, Ben and Kara of Andover, MN; his aunt Barb Hagstrom and significant other Greg Helle of Okoboji, IA, cousin Brittany, and her children Lexi and Eli of Champlin, MN; his uncle and aunt, Dave and Stephanie Womeldorf and cousins Samantha, Alex, Bella and Carter of Edina, MN; his father Alejandro Torres, sister Vanessa and brother Alex of New Mexico.
