Rodney Jacobson

Rodney Jacobson, age 80, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025.

A visitation celebrating Rodney’s life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.

Another visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Helms Funeral Home, 306 East Water Street, Decorah, Iowa. Pastor Randy Kittelson will be presiding.

Rodney is survived by his son, Loren (Lisa Graveman) Jacobson; his children, Brendan (Tonya) Jacobson, and his children, Skyler, Hadley, and Braelyn; Lizzy (Shane) Lockhart, and her children, Wyatt and Watson; Heather (Jake) Kayser, and her children, Zach and Zoey Kayser. Rodney is also survived by his daughter, Ronda (Dan) deNeui; her children, Nicole (Jon) Avery and her children, Mackenzie, Lailah, Shyla, Elijah, Owen, and Jude; Heather (Jeremy) Lawrence, and her children, Rylee, Zayne and Auden. He is also survived by siblings, Lemoyne (Elaine) Jacobson, Ellen Van Sabben, and Marlys Larsen; and sister-in-law, Babe Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou; parents, siblings, sisters and brothers-in-law.
