Robert Allen Ryan

Robert Allen Ryan age 62, from rural Cresco, IA passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at his home at the Plymouth Rock (St. Agnes Church) Parsonage. There will be no formal services for Robert. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be sent to his family at: 10513 South Branch Rd, Lime Springs, IA 52155. Robert Ryan was born on August 6, 1960, the son of Edward J and Evelyn (Balik) Ryan in Decorah, IA. He grew up with his 9 siblings west of Burr Oak, IA and he graduated high school from Decorah with the class of 1979. Robert was the St. Agnes custodian and cemetery caretaker for over 30 years. He enjoyed collecting and tinkering with farm toys and NASCAR toys. Robert took good care of his vehicles and liked to work on them. Robert will be remembered as a loving and kindhearted brother and uncle. He is survived by his siblings: Ruth Kamp, Decorah, IA; Theresa Smith, Decorah, IA; Ethel (Donald) Sylling, Spring Grove, MN; Tim (Sharon) Ryan, Lime Springs, IA; Leone (Tom) Ferrie, Cresco, IA; Frank Ryan, Harmony, MN, and Anita Ryan of Decorah. Brother-in-law: Robert Maroushek, Decorah, IA. Nieces and nephews: Chris, Michelle, John, Rodney, Dustin, Eric, Travis, Matt, Rhonda, Dawn, Elizabeth, Curtis, Laura, and Amanda. Robert was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Evelyn (Balik) Ryan. Sisters: Phyllis Maroushek and Lois Ryan. Brothers-in-law: Kenneth Kamp and Rick Smith. Nephew: Brent Smith.
