Robert "Bob" Earl Rudolph, age 67, of Houston, Texas, died on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home of natural causes. A private family funeral service was held Saturday December 30, 2023, at Helms Funeral Home, Decorah, Iowa. Burial taking place at the Washington Prairie Lutheran Church cemetery, alongside his parents. Bob was born October 5, 1956, the son of Donald E. and Lucille (Winger) Rudolph in Minneapolis, MN. Bob graduated from Arlington High School, Arlington, Texas with the class of 1975. He then attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth Texas, graduating there in 1980. After college, he was recruited for a professional basketball team in Osorno, Chili where he played for two years. After returning to the United States, he worked as a certified financial planner in Arlington, TX. He joined the firm M. W. Kellogg Company, then Kellogg, Brown & Root Services, Inc. as an international parts procurement specialist, traveling to Borneo, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and other countries. Bob was an avid sports enthusiast throughout his life. He would call family after particularly important games and say, "You can breathe now." Bob will be missed by all who knew him. Left to honor Bob are his sister, Vicki (Rudolph) WIlliams, and his brother Jon W. Rudolph. Along with a large host of cousins.
