Robert ‘Bob’ Peterson, age 88, of Decorah, IA, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Aase Haugen Nursing Home in Decorah, IA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Hauge Lutheran Church, 3147 Middle Hesper Road, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Nancy Solomonson presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 14, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave. Decorah, IA, and also after 10:00 a.m., the church on Friday morning. Bob is survived by his wife: Grace Peterson, Decorah, IA. One son: Lauren Peterson, Sparta, WI. Two grandsons: Justin and Trey Peterson. One sister: Helen (Rev. O. Paul) Hougen, Decorah, IA. One brother: Charles (Rose) Peterson, Decorah, IA, One sister-in-law: Lorraine Peterson, Decorah, IA, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents: John and Lenora (Danielson) Peterson, Sr. One son: Donnie Peterson. Two sisters: Lucella (Virgil) Bender and Doris (Walter) Bender. Two brothers: Ervin (Dorothy) Peterson and John Peterson. His father and mother-in-law: Olaf and Hazel (Melberg) Sivesind. One sister-in-law: Connie Lynch and one brother-in-law: Earl (Beverly) Sivesind.
