Richard Sorenson, age 57 of Decorah, IA, died on Monday, July 22, 2019 at his home in Decorah, IA. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Phelps Cemetery in Decorah. Richard was born on December 5, 1961 to Elmer Sorenson and Shirley (Sorenson) Scott. Richard is survived by his mother Shirley Scott, Montello, WI. Sisters: Theresa (Larry) Liget, San Diego, CA and Lori Kennington, Montello, WI. Aunts: Arlene (Duane) Larson, Decorah, IA; Edna Jacobson, Decorah, IA; Marilyn (Jay) Beard, Decorah, IA; Gerry Sorenson, Decorah, IA and Deloris Costa, St. Paul, MN. Uncle: Dale (Connie) Sorenson, Bullhead, AZ. Nieces: Amanda, Misty and Brandy. Nephew: Andrew along with several cousins and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his father Elmer Sorenson. Step-mother: Charlotte Sorenson. Step-father: Glenn Scott. Uncle: Arnold Sorenson, Lester Sorenson and Harold “Bud” Jacobson.
