Rhett Hovey

Rhett Lee Hovey, three week old son of Tim and Jess Hovey of Ridgeway, Iowa died on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota following heart complications. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2005 at Peace Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, Iowa with Revs. Phil and Ginny Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Union Prairie Cemetery, Decorah, Iowa. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, Iowa and after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Friday morning. Rhett Lee Hovey was born on June 6, 2005 the son of Tim and Jess (Donlon) Hovey at the Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa. Rhett was baptized on June 22, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota with Jeremy Peterson, Amber Hovey and Gary and Susan Hovey as sponsors. Rhett was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, Iowa. Survivors: Parents: Tim & Jess Hovey, Ridgeway, IA. Maternal Great Grandparents: Robert Donlon, Decorah, IA; Jerry and Sandy Albertson, Ridgeway, IA and Norbert and Virginia Hovey, Ridgeway, IA. Paternal Great Grandparents: Roland and Geneva Halverson, Decorah, IA and Theodore Hovey, Decorah, IA. Maternal Great Great Grandparents: Ella Albertson, Cresco, IA and Cora Roetman, Riceville, IA. Rhett was preceded in death by his two great grandmothers: Kay Donlon and Wanda Hovey.
