Norris Aschem

Norris T. Aschem, age 81, of Decorah, IA, died Friday morning, February 2, 2018 at Elkader Care Center in Elkader, IA.    There will be no services. Private Inurnment will be in Bluffton Cemetery.   Norris Telford Aschem was born December 17, 1936 in Decorah, Iowa, the son of Fred and Ada (Gjery) Aschem. He attended rural school in Freeport through the 8th grade. Norris worked in Cedar Rapids years ago. He then came back to Decorah and had quite a few customers mowing lawns in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter. Later, he liked to ride his three wheel bicycle around Decorah. In March 2016 he became a resident of Scenic Acres in Elkader, Iowa, and then in May 2017, he became a resident of Elkader Care Center in Elkader. There are no survivors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ada Aschem; his sister Frances Wernson; and by his special friend, Frances Carmack.
