Norma Nesset

Norma A. Nesset, 81, of Davenport, IA (formerly of Decorah) passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave in Decorah. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Norma was born the daughter of John and Alice (Gilbertson) Thompson on February 14, 1938 in Decorah, IA. She was united in marriage to Harlen Nesset on June 30, 1954, in Decorah, IA. and he died April 26, 2002.  Norma loved spending time in Arizona with her husband, Harlen. They enjoyed seeing the blooming cacti in the desert and their favorite spot at the foot of Superstition Mountain. She also cherished spending time with her family and playing Bingo. Those left to celebrate her life are her children, Hope (Roger) Knebel of Waterloo, IA and Calvin (Bonnie) Nesset of Davenport, IA; brother, James “Jim” (Jenny) Thompson of Decorah, IA; grandchildren, JD (Erin) Nesset of Lynn Center, IL and Wade (Justine) Nesset of Kingsland, GA; five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Ardyce and her husband, Harlen.
