Marie A. Kipp

Marie A. Kipp, age 84, of Festina, Iowa died on Wednesday morning at the Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian, Iowa, following a short illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Festina, Iowa, with Monsignor Cletus Hawes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Parish Center in Festina. There will be a rosary at 4:00 and a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Marie Ann Kipp was born on October 14, 1921 the daughter of Theodore and Julitta (Huinker) Einck in Festina, Iowa. Marie attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Festina. She married Donald J. Kipp on November 22, 1948 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Festina. Together they farmed near Lawler and Fort Atkinson. After they moved to Festina, Marie worked at Bucheit Produce for many years, retiring in 1986. Marie was a wonderful mother, cook, and baker. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, playing cards and gardening. Her greatest love was her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marie was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church and Rosary Society. Marie’s family is especially thankful for the exceptional care that Marie received while at the Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian. Marie’s survivors include her husband, Donald J. Kipp, Festina, Iowa; Three sons: Leon (Bernie) Kipp, Fort Atkinson, IA; Dan (Diane) Kipp, New Hampton, IA and Dale (Kara) Kipp, Burnsville, MN. Four daughters: Pat (Keith) Marovets, Luana, IA; Sue (Dave) Yearous, New Hampton, IA; Nancy (Kenny) Mikota, Conover, IA and Deb (Marty) Tieskoetter, Ossian, IA. One brother: Norbert (Rosaria) Einck, Festina, IA. Eighteen grandchildren: Ryan and Lisa Kipp; Brian (Alison) Marovets, Eric & Mitchell Marovets; Scott, Mark & Angela Kipp; Tyler, Michael & Shawon Yearous; Carrie Mikota; Adam (Summer) Tieskoetter, Russell (Lisa) Tieskoetter, Levi (Sally) Tieskoetter and Mason Tieskoetter; Kayla and Travis Kipp. Eight great grandchildren: Nicholas, Alex, Macey & Makenzie Marovets and Chloe, Noah, Owen & Josie Tieskoetter. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter: Brooke Yearous in 1981; one sister: Mildred Einck Wenthold and one brother: Louis Einck.
