Marie Beatty

Marie Beatty died March 3, 2022, at the age of 97 in the Barthell Eastern Star Home. She was a resident of Decorah, IA since 1971, when she moved from Marshalltown, IA with her husband, Jim Beatty, when he accepted an engineering position with Deco Products. Until her retirement, Marie worked part time as a nurse at Winneshiek Medical Center. Jim Beatty predeceased Marie in 2002. She is survived by a son, Stephen Beatty, and his spouse Mary Massie, a daughter, Trish Allen, and her husband Jay Allen, and 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A family graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the Decorah Public Library, the Decorah First United Methodist Church, the Winneshiek Medical Center, or the Barthell Eastern Star Home.
