Marianna Guess

     Marianna Guess, 2 month old daughter of Jess Wirkler and Kyle Guess, of Decorah, IA, died suddenly on Friday, July 22, 2016, in Decorah, IA.      Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Daniel Knipper presiding. Burial will be in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery, Decorah, IA.      Visitation will be held after 9:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah.      Marianna Sarina Guess was born on May 15, 2016, at the Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, IA, the daughter of Jess Wirkler and Kyle Guess.      Marianna is survived by her parents: Jess Wirkler, Rockwell City, IA, and Kyle Guess, Decorah, IA. Grandparents: Tammy (Jamie) Mincks, Decorah, IA; Jeremiah (Stacy) Shanks, Ridgeway, IA; and Buddy (Dialyn) Slaughter, Rhinelander, WI. Great Grandparents: Denise Shanks, Decorah, IA; Rosetta Guess, Decorah, IA; Sherry & Gary Henry, Cresco, IA; and Ronald A. Witt, Sr., Clarksville, IA. Great Great Grandparents: Dennis & Darlene Frana, Decorah, IA, and Gladys Mincks, Decorah, IA. Aunts and Uncles: Kaylin Miller, Dalton Guess, Casandra Witt, Merry Witt, Stacy Witt, Tristan Shanks, Laura Wirkler, Crystal Wirkler and Dylon Roed, along with many great aunts, uncles and great great aunts and uncles. One cousin: Jaylee Mincks.      Marianna was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ronald Witt, Jr., Duane Shanks, and Allyn J. Mincks. Great Grandparents: Kaye Witt and Henry Guess.
