Marguerite (Babe) Lepa

Marguerite (Babe) Lepa of Decorah, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2018; just 3 days shy of her 98th birthday. She died at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah, where she had been living for the last 5 years. Marguerite (Babe) Mae (Anderson) Lepa was born on October 5, 1920 in Decorah, the daughter of Otto and Josephine (Schaub) Anderson. She graduated from Decorah High School with the class of 1938. Babe is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Josephine Anderson; and her sister Virginia Monson. Babe is survived by Daughter, Katharine (Donald) Zabel; Grandchildren Michael (Grace) Zabel and Denise (Peter) Fuglestad; 6 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Christian Life Center, 2513 River Road, Decorah, with Pastor Doug Bryce officiating.
