Loren Albert Moen

Loren A. Moen, age 54, of Decorah, Iowa, died Friday, February 8, 2008 at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah following a long illness. Graveside Services will be held in the spring of 2008 at Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah. Rev. Steven M. Jacobsen will officiate. Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah is handling the arrangements. Loren Albert Moen was born April 7, 1953 in Decorah, Iowa, the son of Albert J. and Ruby S. (Woldum) Moen. He was a special gift from God. He liked to go fishing with his father, riding his bike, loved dogs, dancing, bowling and watching cartoons and scary movies. Loren lived in Comprehensive Systems – New Hampton Group Home in New Hampton, Iowa for many years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Decorah. He was preceded in death by his father Albert (Ab) on August 28, 1990 and his mother Ruby on December 2, 2001. He is survived by his sister Joanne Yarwood of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and his brother Donald (Wanda) Moen of Charlotte, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
