Lila Grace Schneider

The Lord has called our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother to come to his home on March 20, 2010 from the Aase Haugen Home at the age of 99 years, five months and 15 days. Lila Grace Schneider was born October 5, 1910, the daughter of Vernon C. and Elsie (Palley) Sheetz. Lila’s wishes were to be cremated and her family will have a private memorial service at the Freeport Church and Cemetery at a later date. Lila is survived by a son, Cloyd (Inez) Dolley of Decorah, two daughters: Joyce (Lee) Stropes of Barefoot Bay, FL, and Cherrie Macal of Ames, IA; nine grandchildren: Barbara (Doug) Johnson, Virgil (Amy) Dolley, Jed (Shelly) Dolley, Mario (friend, Renee) Voves, Marla (friend, Delmar) Voves. June (friend, Greg) Halweg, Jodi (friend, Mike) Holthaus, Brenda (Ken) Pankow, Wayne Macal; sixteen great grandchildren: Samuel Johnson, Krystal (friend, Sam) Kvamme, Dakota, Alex, William, Cody, and Charity Voves, Greggory and Kiatrina Voves, Jake, Jay, and Joreen Halweg, Jeanie and Garrett Holthaus, Amanda (friend, Scott) Pankow, Chris (Jamie) Pankow; and one great great grandchild, Chester Kvamme. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
