Lila Costigan

Lila Costigan, age 87, of Calmar, IA, died Friday, November 23, 2012, at the Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian, IA. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar, IA with Rev. Donald Hawes presiding. Burial will be in the St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Schluter Balik Funeral Home French Chapel, 202 South Washington Street, Calmar, IA. There will be a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and scripture service at 5:00 p.m.om Monday. Friends may also call from 9:00-10:30 a.m., at the funeral home on Tuesday morning. Lila is survived by her five children: Michael (Kate) Costigan, Conover, IA; Molly Ann Hormann, Hiawatha, IA; Pat (Robert) Martin, New Hampton, IA; Peg (Tommie) Hove, Cresco, IA; and Phillip (Marguerite) Costigan, Caledonia, MN. Eleven grandchildren: Marie (Scott) Riesenberg, Jeannie (Heath) Bailey, Jack (Renee) Costigan, Joe (Jill) Costigan, Erin Martin & Dan Bochmann, Casey (Tasya) Martin, John Hove, Grace Hove, Sam, Jim and Nate Costigan. Twelve great grandchildren: Jackson, Molly & Eli Costigan, Maggy & Delaney Costigan, Luke Riesenberg, Thatcher & Joe Bochmann, Lila, Rosa & Francesa Martin and Avah Hove. Four sisters-in-law: Elaine Costigan, Lawler, IA; Kate Dowd, Waterloo, IA; LaVada Dowd, Waterloo, IA; and Kitty, St. Paul, MN.
