Lena Lee, age 75, of Los Angeles, California and formerly of Decorah, Iowa, died Monday, October 31, 2005 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 10, 2005 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Decorah by Rev. Gary F. Krapfl, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah. Lena Lee was born in Seoul, Korea on September 15, 1930. She spent much of her life in Korea, raising her family and working as a businesswoman in sales. Lena immigrated to the United States in 1980. She spent ten years in Decorah, Iowa and then later moved to California where she has resided for the last 15 years. She is a former member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Decorah. Survivors include two sons, Hyang (Nika) Lee of Decorah, IA, Il Bok Lee of Los Angeles, CA; four daughters, Yon Mayer of Waterloo, IA, Eun Bok Lee and her husband Dan Fong of Phoenix, AZ, Maria Lee of Waterloo and Sook Jean Lee of Los Angeles, CA; ten grandchildren, Peter, Paul, Jay and James Lee, Hea Won Lee, James Mayer, Hea Jung Lee, Seung Won Lee , Dea Won and Ccok Lim Lee; and two great grandchildren; and three sisters who reside in Korea.
