Lavonne Corrigan

LaVonne Corrigan, age 66, of Decorah, Iowa, died Saturday, September 23, 2006, at her home after a sudden illness. Memorial services will be on Wednesday September 6, 2006 at 11:00 at the St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Decorah, Iowa by Rev. Gary Krapfl. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 at the Schluter Balik Funeral Home in Decorah with a rosary at 5:00 and a scripture service at 7:00 there will also be visitation after 10:00 at the church on Wednesday. LaVonne Frances (Liddiard) Corrigan was born June 6, 1940 in Waukon, Iowa, to Francis and Lena (Brecht) Liddiard. LaVonne attended schools in West Ridge and St. Patricks in Waukon, Iowa. LaVonne married Patrick Corrigan May 27, 1961 in West Ridge, Iowa. Over the years, they lived in Cedar Rapids, Waukon, and Decorah, Iowa. LaVonne Corrigan is survived by her husband Patrick of Decorah, Iowa; seven children: Jim (Nan) Corrigan of Ramsey, Minnesota; Matt (Carrie) Corrigan of Rancho Santa Margarita, California; Larry (Amy) Corrigan of Young America, Minnesota; Kathy (Mike) Starks of Lake Tapps, Washington; Patty (Scott) Bridell of St. Michael, Minnesota; Nancy Kelly of Winchester, Virginia; and Kelly Corrigan of Decorah, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren: Kyle Bridell, Matthew Kelly, Ben Bridell, Jordan Starks, Brandon Starks, Logan Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Landon Bridell, Sean Corrigan, Bradley Corrigan, Carissa Corrigan, Riley Corrigan, Christopher Corrigan, Katie Alery, Becky Alery; her brother Phil Liddiard of Waukon, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. LaVonne is preceded in death by her father, Francis Liddiard, mother, Lena (Brecht) Liddiard, and son-in-law, Mike Kelly.
