Kellie Ann Sharp, age 16, of Decorah, Iowa, died on Friday August 23, 2013, from injuries she received in a fall at Palisades Park in Decorah, IA. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Decorah Lutheran Church, 309 Winnebago Street, Decorah, IA, with Rev. David Sorenson and Rev. Bryan Robertson presiding. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery, Decorah, IA. There will be visitation from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 30 at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be given to the Kellie Ann Sharp Memorial Fund 704 Pine St. Decorah, Iowa 52101 Kellie Ann Sharp was born in Decorah, Iowa on October 22, 1996. Kellie attended Decorah Community Schools and was currently a junior in High School. She played the clarinet in the Band and enjoyed hanging out with her friends. She worked part-time at Wal-Mart in Decorah. Kellie is survived by her mother: Heather Sharp (fiancé, Brian Steele) Lisbon, IA. Grandparents: John and JoAnn Sharp, Decorah, IA. Uncle: Andrew Sharp, Raleigh, NC. Aunt: Lauren (fiancé, Brandon Williams) Sharp, Cedar Rapids, IA. Great aunts: Caryl Sharp, Spring Valley, MN; LaVonne Sharp, Decorah, IA; Phyllis (Jim) Cutsforth, Ottumwa, IA; Carol Hinton, Cedar Rapids, IA; and Orvetta Aswegan, Decorah, IA. Great uncle: Merlin Sharp, Fort Atkinson, IA, along with numerous loving and caring cousins and all of her friends at Decorah High School. Kellie was preceded in death her Great-grandparents: Lloyd and Hazel Sharp and Henry and Adeline Halweg.
