Keith Fabian, age 81, of Decorah, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at his home.

There will be a private service, scheduled at a future date, for family & friends.

Memorials may be sent to the family at 9001 Foxline Dr., Corcoran, MN 55340.

He was born near Winona in 1945 to parents Harvey & Grace and was the second oldest of 8 children.

After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1967. While serving, he was deployed to Vietnam and earned the Silver Star for gallantry in action.

After his military service, he married, built a home, and raised two children with his wife, Julie.

Keith was the epitome of “work hard, play hard”. When he wasn’t working to provide for his family, he loved to fish, hunt, build things, & spend time with his family.

Even after retirement, he kept very busy: sailing in Florida, hunting deer and turkey, renovating his home, serving on the Decorah Airport Commission, flying his Cessna 172, and helping his family, neighbors, and fellow aviators with their projects.

Keith is survived by his stepmother, 7 siblings, & two sons. He was preceded in death by his father, biological mother, and wife of 31 years.
