Kathryn (Keefe) Davis

Kathryn Ann (Keefe) Davis age 73 of Minneapolis, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, March 4th with visitation at 9:30AM and Rosary at 9AM, all at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5029 Zenith Ave S, Minneapolis. Interment will be held at 9AM on Monday, March 6th at Saint Benedicts Catholic Cemetery in Decorah, Iowa. Kathryn Ann Davis was born on March 4, 1949 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Judge Joseph C. Keefe and Illola (Lola) Keefe of Decorah, IA. She was raised in Decorah, attended St. Benedict's Catholic School, and graduated from DeSales Catholic High School, Ossian, IA. with the Class of 1967. After high school graduation, she attended the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA. She was united in marriage to Michael S. Davis on June 21, 1986, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Decorah, IA. They were happily married for 21 years, prior to his death on October 18, 2007. For over 35 years, Kathy generously shared her time, talent and treasure with the Church of Christ the King. She was the Saturday evening Mass Sacristan, she contributed to the Friday Morning Mass group, Birthday Club, Funeral Choir and participated in all Church fund raisers. Kathy joined a virtual, nonprofit community called Widows in Motion. She was a key contributor and helped other widows through their healing process by providing encouragement, joy and hope. Kathryn's family was very important to her. She is survived by her sister, Mary Keefe Grove, Alpharetta, GA; nephews Michael J. Grove (Madison), Cumming, GA. and Matthew J. Grove, Alpharetta, GA; cousins, Dave Jacobson (Elizabeth Lange), Steve Jacobson (Nancy), Mary Janet Anderson (Pete), and DuWayne (Linda) Wessels; Uncle Donald Flater (Carol), their sons Patrick and Timothy. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael S. Davis in October 2007; her loving parents, Joseph (August 2009) and Lola (March 2017); brother-in-law, Michael K. Grove (June 2021); grandparents Thomas and Mary Keefe, Norman and Beatrice Flater, and by several aunts and uncles.
