Julia Phillips

Julia Phillips, age 95, of Spillville, Iowa died on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Aase Haugen Nursing Home in Decorah, Iowa, following a long illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville, Iowa with Rev. Donald Hawes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning until 10:30 at the Balik Funeral Home in Spillville, Iowa. There will be a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. Julia’s survivors include one daughter: Marcella (Marvin) Soukup, Calmar, IA and one son: Bernard (Lois) Phillips, Calmar, IA. Eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren. One brother: Benjamin Frana, Cupertino, CA.
