Jim Burreson

Jim Burreson, age 65, of Decorah, Iowa, died on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009, at the Decorah Lutheran Church, with Rev. James Glesne presiding. Burial will be in St. Benedict’s Catholic Cemetery, Decorah, Iowa. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m., on Friday at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, and after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Jim’s survivors include his three children: Dawn (Erik) Lindgren, Arvada, CO; Matthew (Jerita) Houston, TX; Rachel (Jeff Bray) Burreson, North Liberty, IA. One grandson: Hunter Bray. Sister-in-law: Barb Burreson, Hopkinton, IA. One uncle: Lawrence Linderbaum & wife Evelyn, Monona, IA. Two aunts: Marie Linderbaum, Ossian, IA; and Marian Linderbaum, Castalia, IA, along with several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Everett Burreson in January 1984 and Alma Burreson in September 2008. His wife: Pamela on June 4, 1985. One brother: David in January 1999.
