Jerry Albertson

     Jerry Albertson, age 76, of Ridgeway, IA, died on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Wellington Place Nursing Home in Decorah, Iowa.      Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave, Decorah, with Pastor Jeff Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery, Ridgeway, IA.      Friends may call on Monday, May 5, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and also after 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, IA.        Jerry is survived by his wife: Sandy Albertson, Ridgeway, IA. One son: Keith Albertson, Kendallville, IA. Four daughters: Peggy (Keith) Sersland, Decorah, IA; Connie (Paul Zander) Humpal, Waverly, IA; Susan (Gary) Hovey, Ridgeway, IA; and Dawn (Jeff) Horns, Cresco, IA. Ten grandchildren: Andera (Andrew) Albers, Robin & Shawn Sersland, Jessica (Tim) Hovey, Mitch Donlon, Amber Hovey, Devin Albertson, Daric Henkes, River & Cloey Horns. Four great grandchildren: Ayden & Ella Albers and Lilly & Kaylee Hovey. One sister: Juliet Marhoul, Decorah, IA. One brother-in-law: Wayne (Sandy) Roetman, Bethany, MO. One sister-in-law: Betty Josephson, Rochester, MN.        Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Joe and Ella (Blomgren) Albertson. His father and mother-in-law: Walter and Cora Roetman. Two brothers: Junior in infancy and Gerald Albertson. One sister: Elnora (Curtis) Marlow. Two grandchildren: Nicole Albertson and Jay Sersland. One great grandson: Rhett Hovey. Two brothers-in-law: Milton Schnitzler and George Marhoul.
