Jason Fleshner

     Jason Fleshner, age 33, of Decorah, IA, died on October 15, 2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at the Madison Lutheran Church, 2658 Madison Road, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Jeff Hansen presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery.      Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, IA, and also after 10:00 a.m., at the church on Tuesday morning.       Jason Lloyd Fleshner was born a twin along with his sister, Jenn, on June 10, 1982, in Decorah, IA, the son of Lloyd and Judy (Beltz) Fleshner. Jason attended Decorah Community Schools, and graduated with the Class of 2000. He attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. He returned to Decorah and worked at Finholt Construction, CamCar, All Season Construction and most recently with Aaron Dahlen for Decorah Builders. Jason was married to Amber Schroeder on Oct. 21, 2006, at St. Benedict Catholic Church. They had three children: Alec, Trinn and Tinley. They later divorced. Jason enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, bowling, hunting, Iowa Hawkeye football, his pick-up truck and keeping it spotless. He was known as a perfectionist and always liked to keep things in order. Above everything else, he loved spending time with his children, playing video games and going to the bowling alley with them.      Jason is survived by his three children: Alec, Trinn and Tinley Fleshner, Decorah, IA. His parents: Judy Fleshner, Decorah, IA, and Lloyd (Cheryl) Fleshner, Ridgeway, IA. His twin sister: Jenn (Troy) Wendling, Independence, IA. Half and step brothers and sisters: Gary Holstad, Decorah, IA; David (Doreen) Holstad, Decorah, IA; Michelle Gilgour, Waukee, IA; Travis (Stacy) Fleshner, LaPorte City, IA; Rochelle Fleshner, Minneapolis, MN; Trenton (Amy) Fleshner, Woodward, IA; Chris (Vada) Dahl, LeRoy, MN; and Josalyn (Matt) Haywood, Decorah, IA; Rachel (Jarod) Schuman, Decorah, IA; and Kyle (Sam) Dahl, Decorah, IA. Jason’s nieces and nephews: Tera Courtney, Levi, Logan and Lindsi Holstad, Danielle & Daiton Holstad and Reese Ann Wendling. Jason’s special friend, Stacy Tweten, Cresco, IA, along with many other nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.      Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents: Kenneth & Beverly Knutson and Dale & Esther Fleshner, along with several aunts, uncles and his favorite hunting dog, Roxy.
