Janet Schell

     Janet L. Schell, age 58, of Jefferson passed away Friday, August 14, 2015, at her home in Jefferson, Wisconsin.      Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015, at the Chapel of the Flowers at Alverno, N4637 Co Rd Y, Jefferson, WI 53549.      Visitation and gathering time will be at the chapel from 12:00 noon until the Time of Remembrance at 12:45, with Mass at 1:00 p.m.      Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 21, 2015, at St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery, 2389 Siewer Springs Road, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Phillip Gibbs presiding.      The Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah is handling the arrangements.      Janet Schell was born on November 5, 1956, in Decorah, Iowa, daughter of H. Donald and Florabelle (Ungs) Schell. Janet has been a member of the St. Coletta Community since 1978. After attending the St. Coletta Habilitation program, she was a resident/worker there until her retirement. She enjoyed vacations with her parents, bowling, singing in the NOVA choir, and going for pizza.    Janet is survived by her three brothers: John (Liz) Schell of Arlington, VA, James (Judy) Schell of Decorah IA, and Joseph (Carrie) Schell of Ellicott City, MD; her nephews and her many friends at St. Coletta.      Janet was preceded in death by her parents: H. Donald Schell on October 23, 1994 and Florabelle Schell on October 10, 2012.
