James "Jimmy" Paul Layeux

James “Jimmy” P. Layeux, age 36 of Waukon, IA and formerly of Decorah, died on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Oneota Riverview Care Facility in Decorah following a brief illness. Memorial Service is at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Decorah Lutheran Church Fellowship Room in Decorah, IA by Rev. James Glesne, with inurnment at a later date in Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah, IA. There will be no visitation. Fjelstul Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. James “Jimmy” Paul Layeux was born November 10, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Richard Ralph and Patricia Romell (Hart) Layeux. He was a graduate of Washburn High School in Minneapolis, MN He was united in marriage with Theresa A. Falck on February 20, 2004 in Decorah, IA. Jimmy was a carpenter. He owned and operated Layeux’s Remodeling & Repair in Decorah, IA. Jimmy died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Oneota Riverview Care Facility in Decorah, at the age of 36, following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Theresa of Waukon, IA; his 3 sons: Coty James Layeux, Alex Michael Voves and William Dale Voves; his mother, Patricia “Patty” Benkufsky of Parks Prairie, MN; a sister, Jenny (Tom) Solomon of Coon Rapids, MN; a nephew, B.J. Solomon of Coon Rapids, MN; and his mother-in-law, Becky Heying of Decorah.
