Irene Henningsgaard, age 94, of Decorah, Iowa, died on Sunday, February 24, 2008, at the Aase Haugen Nursing Home in Decorah, Iowa, following a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at the First Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa, with Rev. Steven Jacobsen officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Decorah, IA. Friends may call from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah and after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Wednesday morning. Irene’s survivors include her son: Roger (Lynn) Henningsgaard, Decorah, IA.
