Helen (Sbiral) Wenthold

Helen Sbiral Wenthold, age 91, of formerly of Festina and Calmar, IA, died on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at the Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian, IA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Festina, IA, with Monsignor Cletus Hawes presiding. Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery in Spillville, IA. Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Tuesday at the Festina Parish Center in Festina, IA. There will be a rosary at 4:00 and a scripture service at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Schluter – Balik Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Helen is survived by her son: Robert Sbiral, Spillville, IA. One daughter: Norma Wilson, Cedar Rapids, IA. One grandson: Keith (Amy) Sbiral. Two step-daughters: Shirley (LeRoy) Bohr, Ossian, IA, and Mary Lou (Jim) Busta, Spring Grove, MN. Two step-sons: Larry (Sandra) Wenthold, Atkinson, IL, and Terry (Mary Ann) Wenthold, Fort Atkinson, IA. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband: Louis Sbiral on July 27, 1966. Her second husband: Herb Wenthold on March 7, 2000. One step-son: Kenneth Wenthold on Nov. 28, 1947.
