Helen Riehle

Helen Riehle, age 96 of Spillville, IA died Friday, April 20, 2018 at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah.Private graveside services will be at a later dateHelen Mildred (Haskovec) Riehle was born April 10, 1922 to James and Stella (Sobolik) Haskovec on the family farm in Howard county She attended Country School #10. She worked in Cedar Rapids, IA for a short time. Helen married Earl Riehle on January 23, 1952 at Holy Trinity Catholic church in Protivin, IA Helen was one of the first ladies to work in the St. Wenceslaus lunch program, she also worked at the Bily Clocks and Wapsie Produce. Helen enjoyed sewing, dancing, traveling and being involved with her extended family.Helen is survived by Sister-in-law: Irene Haskovec, Protivin, IA, Nieces and nephews; Leona Rosendahl of Decorah; Duane "Sonny" (Rita) Snyder of Decorah, IA, Doris (Joseph) Andera, Kenneth (Pauline) Haskovec, Elaine Waterman, Roger (Carol) Riehle and many great nieces and nephews, also her very good friends Gene (Peggy) Reicks.Helen was preceded in death by her husband; Earl Riehle; Parents: James and Stella (Sobolik) Haskovec,; Brother: Leonard Haskovec; Sister: Bessie (Toney) Snyder Brother-in-law; Raymond (Mildred) Riehle.
