Gary Downing

Gary Downing, age 65, of Decorah, Iowa, died on Thursday, April 27, 2006, at his home following a long illness. Friends may call on Monday, May 1, 2006, from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, Decorah. A private family graveside service will be held at the Smithfield Cemetery with full military rites. Survivors: Five children: Karen Singleton, Ashland, MO; Jeff Downing, Glen Ellyn, IL; James Downing, Postville, IA; Cathy Downing, Protivin, IA and Bill Downing, Ludington, MI. One sister: Darlene Kadera, Sumner, IA. Four brothers: Robert Downing, Polson, MT; Neale Downing, Harpers Ferry, IA; Bill Downing, Fallon, NE and Dean Downing, Postville, IA.
