Florence Olson

Florence Olson, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Wellington Place Nursing Home in Decorah. A Private family graveside service will be held at a later date, there will be no formal services or visitation per Florence’s wishes. Florence (Yarwood) Olson was born on March 13, 1933, at home in Winneshiek County to Herb and Irene (Baker) Yarwood. She grew up in Winneshiek County and attended school at Madison TWP School #4. She married Ronald Olson on September 28, 1950. Two children were born to this union, Ranell and Randall. Florence is survived by her children: Ranell (Jim) Bolson and Randall (Renee) Olson. Grandsons: Sam(Trista) Brauer, Max(Nicole) Brauer and great grandchildren: Logan, Emma, Morgan, Grady, Cadence, Griffin, Colin and Abby Brauer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald. Parents: Herb Yarwood and Irene( Yarwood) Nelson and a sister in infancy. Non-designated memorials will go to Phelps Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
