Esther Peck

Esther Peck, age, 64, of Decorah, IA, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at the Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, IA, after a lingering illness. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Schluter Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, IA, by Rev. Steven M. Jacobsen of the First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Frankville Cemetery Frankville, IA. Visitation will be 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday morning Esther Irene (Styve) Peck was born on November 1, 1943, the daughter of Erick & Doris (Ramsey) Styve in Decorah, Iowa. Esther attended Decorah High School. She answered phones the Bill Noecker Taxi cab and ambulance business for eleven years. Esther also worked at LaVotney Rest Home in Decorah, in the laundry dept. at the Cliff House and helped her husband Ray when he worked at Bolson Feeds. Esther enjoyed doing embroidery, crossword puzzles, watching TV, her dog, Minnie and cooking with her husband and making homemade pizza. Esther was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Decorah. Esther’s survivors include her sister: Dorothy Anderson, Eagle Grove, IA One sister-in-law: Shirley Hageman, Decorah, IA. and several nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her parents: Erick and Doris Styve. Her husband: Raymond Peck on March 20, 2006. One nephew: Jason Anderson. Two brothers-in-law: David Anderson and Robert Peck.
