Edith Rollins (55) of Decorah IA passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Celebration of life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Helms Funeral Homes, 306 E. Water Street, Decorah, Iowa.

Ede was the wife of Mark Rollins, with whom they shared 16 years of marriage together. 

Ede was born to Fred and Elizabeth (Betty) Hofsaess in Orange, New Jersey. She graduated from Pennridge High School and went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management at Delaware Valley. She was a catering director for several different places over numerous years. Notable places include Luther College, The Hotel Winneshiek, and Viterbo University. 

In her past time, she enjoyed all forms of literature. Audiobooks, digital, and paper copies were her preferred forms. She enjoyed 80s rock music, her favorite of which was Aerosmith. In addition to her music, she enjoyed watching Everybody Loves Raymond, Magnum PI, and NCIS. 

She is survived by her two sons, Jackson and Nicholas Rollins of Spillville, her father Fred (Debbie) Hofsaess of Decorah, and her brother Robert (Christy) Hofsaess of Winterset. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Rollins of Decorah, IA, and her mother, Betty Hofsaess of Doylestown, PA.
