Debra J. White

Debra J. White, age 50, of Decorah, Iowa, died on Friday, July 4, 2008, at the Winneshiek Medical Center, in Decorah, Iowa, following a year long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Big Canoe Lutheran Church, rural Decorah, Iowa, with Rev. David Andreae officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Monday at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, Iowa, and after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Tuesday morning. The family suggests memorials in memory of Deb White Memorial Fund 3174 Middle Sattre Rd. Decorah, Iowa 52101 Deb’s survivors include her husband: Alan White, Decorah, IA. Four children: Brooke White, Iowa City, IA; J. D. White, Decorah, IA; Stacy White, Decorah, IA and Drew White, LaCrosse, WI. Her mother: Loretta Wenner, Vinton, IA. Her grandmother: Frances Porter, Vinton, IA. One sister: Melissa (Mike) Davis, Vinton, IA and one brother: Scott (Diana) Wenner, Williamsburg, IA. Alan’s parents: Marshal & Beverly White, Shellsburg, IA. Alan’s siblings: Laurie (John) Mayhew, Vinton, IA; Lynda (Mark) Ollinger, Vinton, IA; and Janine (Gale) Rowden, Shellsburg, IA. Deb is survived also by many nieces and nephews; along with a host of close friends who was always there for support. Deb was preceded in death by her father: Dean Wenner and one niece: Paige Davis.
