David Stoen Sr.

David Stoen Sr. age 76 of Highlandville, IA passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. There are no formal services planned at this time. David reunited with his wife Dorothy on Sunday, June 2. Dave was born a proud Norwegian on October 16, 1947, in Highlandville, Iowa to Sophus and Polly Stoen. Dave's siblings Larry, Bonnie, Jim, Randy, Diane and Linda all grew up on the Stoen family farm where eventually Dave and his wife Dorothy raised three children of their own: DJ, Dawn and Dustin along with ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Dave loved mechanical work, gardening and nature. His spirit was one of a kind. The stories, the sayings, the ways and the old hippie will be dearly missed. Dave lived a fulfilling life meeting so many loved ones, friends and sharing memories that he'd tell you should have been "a movie a dollar could never buy bub". Special thanks to everyone involved. There's so much love and help we can't possibly cover everyone. Dave's family appreciates everything.
