Darrin Bushman, age 55, of Fort Atkinson, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, surrounded by family at his home.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Festina Community Center, 2351 Co Rd B32, Fort Atkinson, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be made out to the family in memory of Darrin.

On May 15, 2026, God called Darrin Ralph Bushman home. He was a loving father, brother, son, husband and an amazing friend to everyone who knew him.

Darrin was born on November 28, 1970, to Donald and Dorothy (Holthaus) Bushman. He worked for his cousin Steve at Bushman Custom Farming and Trucking for many years before that he worked for O’Reilly’s with his dad. On October 26, 2013, he married Janita at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Ossian, Iowa. He loved telling funny stories and talking about the past when he grew up on the farm. He loved to camp, fish, dance, and be around his family and friends. He also enjoyed working on cars, farming, and listening to all kinds of music. His favorite shows to watch included Supernatural, WWE wrestling, and the Big Bang Theory. He always had a saying if someone was having a bad day. It’s okay, tomorrow is another day! To Janita he was her world, her rock, her friend and soulmate.

He is survived by his wife Janita. Children: Nayeli, Kristen Fravel, Gary, Matthew (Cassandra), Donovan Johnson and James Taylor. Father: Donald Bushman. Brothers and Sisters: David (Andrea), Danny (Rochelle), Doug (Tammy), Darcy (T.J.), Debbie (Dustin). Sister-in-law: Georgene Richardson. Six grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, son, grandparents, aunt, mother-in-law and father-in-law.
