Darlene Hoffland, age 50, of Decorah, IA formerly of Festina, IA died Thursday, May 9, 2019 at her home after a short illness. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at Our Lady of Seven Dolores Catholic Church in Festina, IA with Father Robert Gross presiding, burial will be in the St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery near Festina. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m., Friday at the church Darlene Marie Hoffland was born May 29, 1968 in Decorah to Leo and Veronica (Schneberger) Luzum She attended CFS School and graduated from South Winneshiek High School in 1986. Darlene worked at Jack and Jill, Pamida, McDonalds, DECO, Quillians and Wal-Mart. She enjoyed Sudoku, Mahjong and Solitaire. But most of all she enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Darlene is survived by her daughters: Amanda Hoffland and Miranda Hoffland both of Decorah, Sons: Ryan Hoffland of Decorah and Andee and (Connie) Clark of Clarksville, IA. Her grandchildren: Sonya, Bria, Sora, Henree, Evee and Tommee. Her siblings Dennis (Jeanne) Luzum, Decorah, IA, Donna (Jim) Ohl, Muscatine, IA, Linus (Mary) Luzum, Calmar, IA Dave (Colleen) Luzum, Festina, IA, Lynn (Daniel) Nwadei, Sugarland, TX, Dan Luzum, Calmar, IA and Loren (Lori) Luzum, Decorah, IA Brother-in-law: Jim (Sally) Tieskoetter, Ossian, IA. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; Leo and Veronica (Schneberger) Luzum and her sister Lois Tieskoetter in 1991. Please no flowers. Memorials may be made to the family in memory of Darlene.
