Dana Dee Glock

Dana Dee Glock, 66, of US 17 North, South Mills, NC, died on May 13, 2018 at her residence. There will be a private burial in August.She was born in Decorah, Iowa on June 8, 1951 to Erwin Carl Glock and the late Constance Arlene McLane Glock. Dana was a cardiothoracic surgeon and researcher for the University of Chicago Research Pharmacology Department. She co-authored five research papers on the work they accomplished.She is survived by her son, Ryan Walter Emlund of FL; her father, Erwin Glock, her brothers, Kim Glock and wife Mary, Jan "Doc" Glock and wife Helen, Kerry Glock and wife Shelly, Christopher Glock and wife Cindy and dear cousin David Rast and wife Connie along with many nieces and nephews.Dana wasn't just a sister or a daughter, she was our friend. It is said that you only live as long as someone remembers you. Dana will be remembered as a loved one lost and a loved one found. She has gone on ahead to prepare a place for us. Our final home, with Mom and out loved ones. Vaya con Dios. Go with God, Dana.
