Cynthia (Cindy) Roberta Lea Hartman passed away on October 15, 2026, in her home in Spillville, Iowa. She was born September 22, 1956, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to William (Bill) and Gertrude Hartman. She grew up in Wildwood, Georgia. In her youth, she liked to ride her horse Ruby along Lookout Creek at the base of Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
Cindy had an adventurous spirit; when she was young, she had a 1000 C.C. Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. She belonged to the motorcycle club (WoW) Women on Wheels and traveled across Country to their rallies. Cindy had many talents; she was a real estate agent, a seamstress, a quilter, a gardener, and a church organist. Cindy loved music and especially loved to play old church music. She could quote and sing most rock and roll songs from the Sixties and Seventies era.
Cindy had a minor stroke in 2022, which left her partially paralyzed. However, that didn't dampen her spirit. Cindy was a kind soul. She was a Christian woman who knew God. She always saw the good in people and was quick to praise. She was always so positive and uplifting. Her favorite quote in life, which she requested to be put on her tombstone: "IT WILL BE ALRIGHT" represents how she viewed the world. Her greatest joy in life, however, was her love for her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Larry Hackman, her son, Roger Hartman, and her stepchildren, Andrew Hackman and Emily Dansdill. Her two grandchildren, Aurora and Arlo Dansdill. Numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) and Gertrude Hartman. Her son-in-law, Josh Dansdill.
