Colletta Vick

Colletta Vick, age 87, of Decorah, Iowa, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 307 West Main Street, Decorah, Iowa, with Rev. Phillip Gibbs presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00- 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 17, 2013, and also on Monday from 9:00-10:00 a.m., at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah. There will be a rosary at 4:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials in memory of Colletta to St. Benedict Catholic School, 402 East Rural Avenue Decorah, IA 52101 Colletta is survived by her three daughters: Marilyn (Ronald) Bonjean, Shorewood, WI; Nancy Vick, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; LuAnn (Dan) McKenzie, Hokah, MN. Two grandsons: Ronald (Sara) Bonjean, Alexandria, VA and Jonathan (Sarah) McKenzie, LaCrosse, WI. One great grandson: Jack McKenzie. Two sisters-in-law: Jeannie Cole, Nicholasville, KY, and Gloria Vick, Lewiston, MN. One special niece: Cindy (Jeff) Jirak, Lawler, IA, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Colletta was preceded in death by her parents: Carl and Rose Cole. Her husband: Marvin Vick on September 26, 2008. Two grandsons: Nathanael Bonjean and Daniel Scott McKenzie. One sister: Corrine (Craig) Queel in 1975. Two brothers: James Cole in Dec. 1995 and Earl (Mildred) Cole in Jan. 1996. Her father and mother-in-law: Oscar and Emma Alida Vick. One brother-in-law: Gordon Vick.
