Claribel Headington

       Claribel Headington, age 92, of Decorah, IA, died on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at her home.      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2014 , at the Decorah Lutheran Church, 309 Winnebago Street, Decorah, IA, with Rev. David Sorenson and Rev. Bryan Robertson presiding. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery.      Friends may call from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave, Decorah, IA, and also after 10:00 a.m., at the church on Monday morning.      Claribel is survived by her son: Curtis (Sharon) Headington, Mount Vernon, IA. Daughter-in-law: Marie Headington, Decorah, IA. Four grandchildren: Jahn (Sandy) Headington, Amy Headington, Gary Headington, Jr., and Paulette Headington. Eight great grandchildren: Eric (Vanessa) Headington, Taylr Gilman, Shea Headington, Samantha Headington, Amber Headington, Ariel Olson, Mercedes Olson and Dalton Headington. One great greatgranddaughter: Rossalina Lanza. One sister: Barbara Welch, Chicago, IL, along with many nieces and nephews.      Claribel was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Agnes (Faaberg) Gjere. Her husband: Arthur Headington in 1972. Two sons: Lester Headington in 1996 and Gary Headington in 2010. Three sisters: Irene Trones, Jeanette McConnell and Delpine Scott. One brother: Stan Gjere.
